Message from the President
Summer is over, family vacations have come to an end and students and teachers are all back in school! With school starting, traffic around schools has increased with our students walking or being driven to and from school. Please pay attention when driving around our schools and do not be distracted with texting, talking on the cell phone, etc.
Last year AEF partnered with both the Alhambra and Monterey Park Police Departments to purchase six Speed Awareness signs to be placed by AUSD Schools. Please be mindful of the messaging and your surroundings when driving by a school. The speed limit is 25 mph unless otherwise posted when children are present.
With AEF closing out our books on July 31, 2018, it is with great excitement that I announce “WE MADE OUR $300,000.00 FUNDRAISING DRIVE GOAL!” AEF could not have done this without the support of our business partners, parents, community members, teachers, classified staff, and administrators. It is truly a community effort and on behalf of the students and the Board of Directors, THANK YOU!
Please support our Shopping Extravaganza Day on September 22, 2018 at The Citadel in Commerce, CA. AEF receives $25.00 for every ticket that is sold. Please purchase a ticket and enjoy a day of HUGE discounts at The Citadel. There will be raffles throughout the day, a private catered lunch and much, much more. See flyer below with more information on buying your tickets online!
AEF is partnering with outgoing Mayor Barbara Messina to celebrate her retirement for 32 years of public service to the City of Alhambra and Alhambra USD. On October 20, 2018, a celebration honoring Mayor Messina and a fundraiser for the All District Marching Band will be held at Almansor Court. Tickets are available at AEF or the Alhambra Chamber of Commerce. Support the Band by attending the dinner and thank Mayor Messina for her years of service.
SAVE THE DATE! The 15th Annual Service to Education Gala will be held on April 6, 2019. More information will be provided in October.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and students of the District, thank you for your continued support!
